Meet the Staff

Reid Crotty  //  Senior Pastor
   rcrotty@bpumc.org

Reid Crotty has been Senior Pastor at Bluff Park UMC since January 1991. A Birmingham native, he is a graduate of the University of Alabama and of the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He has been pastor in the North Alabama Conference since 1969. 
 
He is married to Martha Crotty, who is a counselor in the Birmingham City Schools. 

Peter von Herrmann  //  Associate Minister

A Homewood, AL native, Peter graduated from the University of Alabama and received his Master of Divinity degree from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University.  He became a Probationary Elder in 2005 and received into Full Connection in the Conference in 2010.  Peter has served at Cullman First UMC and Big Sandy UMC.

Peter is married to his wife Amanda.  They have a 2 year old daughter named Julia.

Tom Duley  //  Minister of Missions
   tduley@bpumc.org

Tom is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and Asbury Theological Seminary. He retired from the North Alabama Conference in 2011. He has served as pastor of several churchs in the conference and most recently served as Executive Director of Urban Ministry in West End. Urban Ministry is an inner city mission of the United Methodist Church in Birmingham, Alabama.

His wife Doreen is also an ordained United Methodist minister who serves as the Director of the Pastoral Care Department at Children’s Hospital. They live in Vestavia.
