Vitality class member ages range from mid thirties to late forties and Sunday attendance in the Fireside Room (across from the gym) is usually between 25 and 35. Members have children ranging from newborn up through the youth group and a few college age and older. Teaching duties rotate among some of the members and lessons vary widely in subject matter, but are usually discussion-based and lively.
Volunteers from Vitality provide, prepare, and serve one meal each month at the Firehouse Shelter downtown. Members of the class also record each Sunday’s worship service on cassette tapes for delivery to the church shut-ins. The class usually sponsors a few of the Three Kings families at Christmas, and it participates in the church barbeque, Halloween carnival, etc.
You’ll find some of the church softball players, choir members, and children and youth Sunday School teachers in Vitality. The class group also gathers socially for New Year’s Eve, for one or two summer parties, an October trip to the Pumpkin Patch, and a Christmas party. Guys’ night out and Girls’ night out alternate each month.
